I’m back…

I just realized, to my shame, that it’s been over a month since I posted here.  Ouch.

I haven’t forgotten faith&AIDS, really.  It’s been a crazy month at work and home — lots of computer problems and other annoyances at the office, illness and international travel in my family, and so on.  So there wasn’t much time to work on this.  And then, thanks to a malfunctioning modem and/or router, the internet at my house was down for two weeks, which of course didn’t help the whole posting situation.

On a totally off-topic note, it was a really weird sensation to lack internet for two weeks — or, I should say, to lack it at home…I had it for 9 hours a day at work!  It was actually kind of alarming to realize how dependent I am on the internet.  I kept thinking of things I wanted or even needed to do, and then, nope, I’d have to go online.   I found myself thinking, “Wait, people used to live like this.  All the time!  How???”  Crazy how quickly people and societies adapt to new technologies, new ways of doing things, new ways of navigating life.

And now I’m thinking, “Wait … it’s not just that people used to live like this (ie. without internet).  People all over the world do live like this.  People live without internet … or computers … or electricity … or … enough food … .”

It’s so easy to be so spoiled.

That being said, I’m awfully glad I have my internet back!  Anyway, all that aside, I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much, and I hope to get some new content up here soon.

Thanks all — talk to you soon!
