Blog Power

>> Cyber Dissidents and the Power of Blogging | The Humanitarian Chronicle

Though not directly related to the subjects of this blog, I wanted to link here because this is fascinating, important, and — in my opinion — a refreshing reminder that although there’s a lot of, um, low-quality material on the internet, the Web can also be a force for good.

On a related note, check out this site: http://blogactionday.org/.  This is a really interesting idea: on Oct. 15, all kinds of different blogs are planning to post on the issue of poverty.  (I signed up a few minutes ago: I’m excited!)  If you’ve got a blog, I’d encourage you to get involved with this — otherwise, keep an eye out for poverty-related posts on October 15!
