Short film from AIDS 2006: Time to Deliver

This is a short video from the introductory session of AIDS 2006 (the last International AIDS Conference, held in Toronto).  Set 25 years in the future, the film shows many amazing changes and innovations that have improved the world.  Then we find out: what happened with AIDS?  The answer is a warning.

This is, in my opinion, a very moving film.  (And the special effects are really impressive!)  The message is a good one, and skillfully portrayed.

I have to say, apart from the AIDS issue, the world imagined in this film was quite beautiful.  Though it’s mostly meant to carry a message about HIV/AIDS, this film could also be seen as kind of inspirational — sort of setting out goals for the future.
